Evil West was released on November 22, 2022, and so far it has gotten mostly positive reviews from gaming publications as well as from gamers around the world.

Flying Wild Hog has done a pretty amazing job with the game and today in this post, we will be looking at the Evil West System Requirements.

Evil West Overview

Evil West system requirements

Evil West is a vampire hunter video game developed by Flying Wild Hog. In the game, the player assumes the role of Jesse Renteir, a vampire hunter who is one of the last agents of a clandestine vampire-hunting organization. Jesse is equipped with some of the most powerful weapons to eliminate the vampires. Evil West allows you to do one of the best monster hunting and monster smashing.

The game features a destructible environment that the player can use as an advantage. The player can shoot and explode explosive barrels and can even throw the vampires on spike traps. The game’s campaign can be played in both solo and co-op modes, which is exciting. The game was released on November 22, 2022, and is available to be played on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

The game provides quite a nice experience of bashing vampires’ heads and the combat displayed in the game gives a nice cinematic feel. The game has now also received its first update which addressed some of the technical issues relating to the game.

Evil West Minimum System Requirements

Minimum
OSWindows 10 (64-bit)
CPUIntel Core i5-2500K (3.3 GHz)
AMD FX-6300 X6 (3.5 GHz)
GPUNvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti
AMD Radeon RX 460
VRAM4GB
RAM8GB
Storage40GB
Additional Notes30 FPS, 1920×1080 in medium

As usual, the game requires the Windows 10 operating system running on 64-bit architecture. The devs have not specified whether or not Windows 11 will support the game or not, but despite the devs not mentioning that we can safely say that the game runs on Windows 11 as well (after all, almost 28% of the Steam registered users have Windows 11-64bit).

The CPU recommended for running the game at its lowest setting is Intel Core i5-2500K which came out long before in 2011 or its AMD counterpart, the hexacore FX-6300, which like most AMD CPUs, provides reasonably strong server-oriented performance at a reasonable price.

On the GPU part, the game asks for a GeForce GTX 750 Ti or its AMD equivalent of Radeon RX 460 or anything better than these graphic cards. The graphic cards are recommended to have at least 4GB of VRAM to provide a better gameplay experience.

You will also need at least 8GB of RAM if you want to run the game, but we believe that the game will even work fine on 4GB as well, but then it might have a few stutter issues. Lastly, you will require 40GB of free storage for the game.

Evil West Recommended System Requirements

Recommended
OS Windows 10 (64-bit)
CPUIntel Core i5-10505 (3.2 GHz)
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (3.2 GHz)
GPUNvidia GeForce GTX 1060
AMD Radeon RX 590
RAM16GB
Storage40GB
Additional Notes60 FPS, 1920×1080 in Epic

For running Evil West on the highest possible settings you are going to need an Intel Core i5-10505 or its AMD equivalent of Ryzen 5 1600 or anything better than these CPUs. Both of these CPUs are hexacore processors, meaning that you are required to have at least a 6-core CPU to be able to juice out every frame from the gameplay.

For the GPU part, you are required to have a GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon RX 590 or anything better. Unlike the minimum system requirements, the devs have not mentioned the VRAM required for the GPUs. The GeForce GTX 1060 has two versions – 3GB and 6GB, so it is more likely that it’ll be the beefier version of the GPU, and for Radeon RX 590, it offers 8GB of VRAM, which should be more than enough for the game.

You will also require 16GB RAM if you wish to enjoy the game without experiencing any frame drop. Storage required for the game doesn’t change and it asks for the same 40GB, but we recommend that you install the game on an SSD for faster loading times.

  1. Is Evil West co-op?

Yes, Evil West supports co-op gameplay and it slightly differs from playing in solo mode. Only the host player can progress their save file and the invited player loses their progress once the session is over.

  2. Does Evil West support crossplay?

Sadly no, as of now, Evil West does not support crossplay. While taking part in multiplayer you are put up against players that have the same platform as you. The devs are working on the crossplay feature and it will be added sometime in a future update.

  3. Can I run Evil West in epic settings if I have a Ryzen 5 1500X?

Ryzen 1500X is a quad-core processor and in the Evil West recommended system requirements, the devs recommend the hexacore Ryzen 5 1500, but don’t let that stop you from trying.

  4. How many fps will I get if I run Evil West in medium settings?

That depends on your hardware, if you have everything equivalent to or better than what is given in the Evil West Minimum System Requirements table, then you should be able to juice out 30fps at 1920×1080 resolution.
