Jump Force 2 Release Date: In this article, we will be listing down everything that we know currently about Jump Force 2. We will be speculating about the Jump Force 2 release date, and what could its gameplay look like, do we have a Jump Force 2 trailer, and will try to bust some rumors circling the internet.

Jump Force 2 will be the sequel to the Japanese crossover fighting game Jump Force which was released in 2019. The game was initially released for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows and later got a port for Nintendo Switch. The game was developed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump which features characters from various manga series. The thinking and thought behind the game were good, the execution was poor and the game met with mostly negative reviews. The game’s servers were shut down on Aug 24, 2022.

Now the wind is blowing in favor of the game’s sequel after all every anime lover wants a game that features their favorite characters in a single game. The devs will be facing a lot of pressure after the failure of the first game, but the risk-to-reward ratio will also be high.

Do we have a Jump Force 2 Release Date?

Jump Force 2 release date

There is currently no Jump Force 2 release date, but chances are the game can soon be announced. Neither the developers nor the publishers have made any official announcement of the game. Jump Force was released in 2019 and now it has been more than 3 years since the game was released. Now it seems that it is the right time for the developer Spike Chunsoft or publishers Bandai Namco to finally announce a sequel to the game.

One thing that will be interesting to watch is whether the developers will learn from the mistakes they made in the past or will they make another buggy that does nothing but disappoints. The previous game got the gaming community and anime lovers really excited as it was the first time a crossover of various manga comics was done and many had hoped for a thrilling game in which they could fight as and against their favorite anime characters.

What could Jump Force 2 gameplay be like?

The game had created huge anticipation among the gaming community and the gamers were expecting an action-packed game. The dream was quickly shattered when Jump Force was released. Disillusionment ran rampant throughout the fanbase upon learning the game contained one of the most lackluster stories ever, with players complaining about its rigid movements and bug-ridden gameplay.

Despite the previous Jump Force game not being a very big hit, the gameplay of Jump Force 2 is not expected to change much. It is also expected to be a 1-v-1 fighting game, with players controlling a team of three characters from various selections. Just like its predecessor, one character will be controllable at one time, with the other two serving as support and being switchable during battle.

Combat is expected to be akin to that of earlier Jump games including Dragon Ball Xenoverse sub-series, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm sub-series, and One Piece: Burning Blood. It involves moving around in a 3D space while using combos and special moves to attack opponents. The match ends when one team’s health bar is completely depleted by the other.

Is there any Jump Force 2 news?

Sadly in February 2022, Jump Force was delisted from all the digital storefronts and also its servers were shut down completely by the end of August 2022. This was a sad ending to a game that was expected to become a hit. Bandai Namco US in a tweet dated Nov 10, 2021, said –

Our sincere thanks goes out to all Jump Force players and fans for their support; but with all good things, they must come to an end.

Jump Force’s availability through digital purchase in the Americas will end on 2/7/2022 at 5 PM PST.

All we can hope is that when Jump Force 2 comes out, it doesn’t have to experience what Jump Force did. The average lifetime of a decent game in the modern world is around 4-6 years but Jump Force died in a little over 2 years, which shows how disappointed the gaming community was with Jump Force. Fingers Crossed and we wish that Spike Chunsoft will learn from their mistakes and make Jump Force 2 an unforgettable experience for all of us.

Jump Force 2 Rumors

Jump Force 2 rumors

Well, there aren’t many rumors that are circling the internet except one, that the game will be coming out in 2023. Just think, the year has already started, and there is still no official announcement of the game neither from the developers’ side nor from Bandai Namco. How can the developers develop a game and Bandai Namco publish it within a year time frame? It is just utterly a false rumor.

If the game will ever be made, it will surely take around two years to develop. Now, if the game is announced in 2023, and Bandai Namco gives Spike Chunsoft a year and a half to develop the game, this would mean that the game will be coming out in either late 2024 or early 2025.

I don’t know where the rumor of Jump Force 2 coming out in 2023 started but one thing is for sure, that is not coming out in 2023.
