Marvel’s Midnight Suns was announced at the virtual Gamescom 2021. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is all set to be rolled out in the market on December 2, 2022. It is worthwhile to mention here that the game was initially slated to be released earlier this year in March. But, due to some reasons the new date was set to be Oct 7, 2022 (announced at Summer Game Fest). But things didn’t go out too well and Firaxis felt that the game was unfinished and needed polishing so they again pushed back the release date to the end of the Fiscal 2023 year.

You can read what Firaxis said while delaying the launch of the game –

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Trailer

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Trailer

The latest official trailer of Marvel’s Midnight Suns titled, “Darkness Falls” was released on Marvel’s official YouTube channel. The trailer starts off with Wolverine and Blade and we see Ghost Rider (his entry is solid) teaming up with them before a supposed fight.

Then at around 19 seconds, Venom can be spotted over a pile of dead bodies (maybe feasting on them). Venom then tries to run away from Lilith, but before he goes any further he is caught and is converted into his The Fallen or Corrupted form. Then the scene changes and we can see other heroes in action including Spiderman, The Hunter, Nico, Blade, and Ghost Rider. Then again a few seconds later, Lilith arrives through maybe an interdimensional portal along with her The Fallen Army including the fallen Venom, Sabretooth, Scarlet Witch, and the Hulk.

The trailer is really chills-giving and makes you want to play the game right now. The most epic part of is Lilith’s entry along with The Fallen Army, the background music is perfect which complements the intensity of the scene. Marvel and Firaxis have done quite a helluva job with the trailer. The game has been hyped up and personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on the game.

The Player will control the customizable character of The Hunter. The brand-new hero co-created by Firaxis can be fully customized to the player’s liking (including its gender). You will be able to choose three other Marvel heroes to accompany you in your missions. The combat is turn and card-based; the abilities of heroes are represented by cards and the player can choose any ability during his/her turn.

A new and unique feature of the game is interacting with other heroes. When you’re not engaged in combat you’ll be hanging out in the Abbey with other superheroes. You can develop relationships (not romantic) with other superheroes by spending time with them. The relationship feature was inspired by JRPGS and anime. As the game involves strategy elements, you need to choose your three heroes wisely before beginning a mission.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns‘ has a really interesting plot and storyline. The main antagonist in the game is the mother of demons, Lilith who is raised by Hydra using some kind of dark magic and science. The two (Lilith and Hydra) form an alliance and begin causing havoc. Doctor Strange and Iron Man start rescuing heroes to fight against the malicious sorceress.

After facing Lilith for the first time and realizing that they are no match for the evil goddess, Dr. Strange intends to raise The Hunter – Lilith’s abandoned child. Dr. Strange knows that The Hunter has sealed Lilith before, so with Nico’s help, they resurrect The Hunter from slumber. After realizing that the heroes are getting stronger, Lilith begins to brainwash the heroes to add them to her demonic army of The Fallen.

It is up to you and the remaining heroes to counter Lilith, who aims to complete an ancient prophecy and summon her evil master, Chthon.
