Paladins is a free-to-play online hero shooter video game developed by Hi-Rez Studios. The game was released in 2016 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Players can choose from a variety of champions, from a roster of 57 champions, each with a unique set of abilities.
The objective of the game is to either capture objectives or eliminate the enemy team. The game is played in a best-of-three format, with the first team to either capture two objectives or eliminate the enemy team twice being declared the winner.
There are four game modes in Paladins–
- Siege: The objective of this mode is to capture or defend three points on the map. The team that captures all three points or has the most points when the timer runs out wins the match.
- Payload: The objective of this mode is to escort a cart to a delivery point. The team that escorts the cart to the delivery point or has the cart closest to the delivery point when the timer runs out wins the match.
- Team Deathmatch: The objective of this mode is to eliminate the enemy team. The team that eliminates the enemy team or has the most kills when the timer runs out wins the match.
- Onslaught: The objective of this mode is to capture or defend two points on the map. The team that captures both points or has the most points when the timer runs out wins the match.
All the 57 Champions in the game are divided into the following four classes –
- Frontline: The Front Line is responsible for being the tank of the team, holding the line by protecting allies and soaking up damage. They are also responsible for capturing objectives and controlling areas.
- Damage: Damage heroes are responsible for dealing high amounts of damage to enemies, and are usually relatively weak
- Support: Support heroes are responsible for healing and buffing allies, and debuffing enemies.
- Flank: Flank heroes are responsible for dealing high amounts of damage, and are also relatively weak.
Paladins is one of the most popular free-to-play games on Steam, with over 30 million players worldwide.
Paladins Tier List
This is an updated Paladins tier list for March 2023. This list will showcase the best champions to pick from the long roster of 57 champions during the month of March in Paladins: Champions of the Realm. The list is based on the champion’s viability, their win rate, and their pick rate. The list is divided into five tiers, S being the best, and D being the worst. Now without any further ado, let’s directly cut to the chase.
These champions are the ones that are most often used in tournaments and at the highest levels of play. They are really strong and allow you to have an upper hand against most of your opponents. These champions are the most picked up across different game modes.
|Frontline||Makoa, Ruckus, Ash, Barik|
|Damage||Cassie & Tyra|
|Support||Furia & Io|
|Flank||Androxus & VII|
The champions in this tier know to hold their own in most situations. They may have a weakness or two, but they can make up for it with their strengths. These heroes have an easy move-set and are among those champions that get picked up by beginners and veterans alike.
|Frontline||Atlas, Azaan, Fernando|
|Damage||Bomb King, Sha Lin, Strix, Dredge|
|Support||Mal’Damba & Grover|
|Flank||Maeve, Evie, Caspian, Buck|
The B-Tier of Paladins tier list mainly contains the Damage champions. These heroes are a little hard to master and demand a little more patience from the player if he/she really wants to make an impact in the matches using these champions.
|Frontline||Raum, Inara, Khan|
|Damage||Octavia, Tyra, Tiberius, Saati, Batty La Bomba|
|Support||Grohk, Ying, Seris|
|Flank||Zhin & Koga|
These champions are ones that are really good but they may not be the best for everyone. As you gain some experience in the game you can use these decks. We don’t mean these are not good decks as they’re in Tier-C but these require the player to understand the game well.
|Frontline||Terminus & Torvald|
|Damage||Drogoz, Imani, Vivian, Willi, Kinessa|
|Support||Pip, Rei, Jenos|
|Flank||Vora, Lex, Skye|
These champions are ones that may have a weakness or two, but they are more than capable of holding their ground against their opponents. They may not be the best champions to use if you’ve just started the game, but they are still good. These champions are the last in our recommendation, especially if you’re a beginner.
|Support||Corvus & Lillith|
|Flank||Moji & Talus|
