Everything You Need to Know About Respawn Entertainment Upcoming Game Titanfall 3

Titanfall 3 Release Date: Titanfall, a series by Respawn Entertainment, has been garnering a massive fan base and is often compared to hit titles like BattleField. Initially, it wasn’t too successful; however, after the release of the sequel Titanfall 2, it started receiving a substantial amount of praise making it one of their most acclaimed games yet – albeit not as much as Apex Legend. Despite this fact, Titanfall 2 still achieved great reviews and has caused their fanbase to insist on another installment.

Despite the speculation and anticipation from fans for a third installment of Titanfall to arrive a couple of years after the second game’s release, six years later there has been no follow-up on these promises. Currently, the possibility for Titanfall 3 appears slim but it is not too late for another entry!

Today in this post we will be discussing everything that we currently know about the much anticipated third entry in the Mecha shooter franchise. So hang on to your seats and read the post till the end.

Currently, the game is not announced and we do not have any fixed Titanfall 3 release date. The developers have not even provided a window in which the game will be coming out. The reason is simple, Respawn Entertainment is just so busy with other IPs, that it does not have time for Titanfall 3.

Respawn’s 2019 release of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order was a huge success. Taking inspiration from the Souls series gave the game an interesting way to bring the Star Wars universe to life, however, Respawn added their own spin on it creating something wholly different. Recently they announced a sequel with a teaser and are currently working on fine-tuning Star Wars: Jedi-Survivor. While this is exciting news for many, it’s another heart-breaking tidbit for those eager for Titanfall 3.

Respawn is invested in four Star Wars-related IPs, two of which are a first-person shooter and a strategy game, respectively. This implies they are booked up for the next couple of years. Furthermore, EA – Respawn’s parent company – signed a three-game agreement with Marvel; one of them being an Iron Man video game produced by Motive Studio. It remains to be seen who will take charge of the other two titles.

Considering the success of Apex Legends, it is understandable that Respawn Entertainment is devoting time and effort to the game. It would be a mistake to abandon such a popular title, so they have assigned a staff exclusively for its development. Additionally, the studio is looking to grow since they are not yet a large team.

So there is a lot going on at Respawn Studios and saying that they’re not doing anything will be wrong on our part as fans. We can just hope that as soon as Respawn gets freed from other IPs it gets to work on Titanfall.

Titanfall 3 Platforms Speculations

Titanfall 3 is not in development yet, so we cannot determine which console it will be released on. The game will definitely be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. We don’t expect the game to be released for PS4, because by the time Titanfall 3 comes, PS4 will be 13-15 years old. Titanfall 2 is 40GB in size and Titanfall 3 has all the potential to feature an enhanced battle animation, so PS5 and Xbox X/S might provide a great gameplay experience for players. And talking about Titanfall 3 coming to PC, it is almost certain that the game will be hitting PCs as well as most gamers around the world prefer PC over gaming consoles.

Unfortunately, Respawn has not confirmed any plans for a Titanfall 3. Looking at their current list of upcoming games, it doesn’t appear that the sci-fi series will be making a comeback soon. This is the impression given right now; however, Respawn did issue a statement in late 2021 to reassure fans that Titanfall is core to its DNA. The official statement read –

Titanfall is part of our DNA at Respawn. It’s a game that showcased the ambitions of the studio when it was first released more than 7 years ago and it continues to be a beacon of innovation that we strive for in all of our games.

We’ve made the decision to discontinue new sales of the original Titanfall game starting today and we’ll be removing the game from subscription services on March 1, 2022. We will, however, be keeping servers Legends, live for the dedicated fanbase still playing and those who own the game and are looking to drop into a match.

Rest assured, Titanfall is core to Respawn’s DNA and this incredible universe will continue. Today in Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends, and in the future. This franchise is a north star for the caliber of experiences we will continue to create here at Respawn.

Thank you from the entire Respawn team

Respawn Entertainment

Although Respawn has said that they are still invested in the series, it is strange considering we have heard nothing regarding a sequel for over five years. In its stead, Apex Legends has seen increased popularity and their newest single-player IP, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, was successful upon launch which has given Respawn a huge popularity boost in the single-player market.

EA’s deal with Marvel

EA’s success with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order has resulted in a multi-title agreement with Marvel for the production of three fresh single-player IPs. The first game is a third-person action-adventure about Iron Man, headed by Motive Studio. This move is inconsistent with EA’s earlier stance on single-player experiences, indicating that they are now embracing them.

Although EA’s shift in focus towards single-player titles may delay the release of Titanfall 3, it’s interesting to see what they can do with the narrative. Whether or not their future single-player efforts pay off, we’ll have to wait and see if Titanfall 3, a multiplayer game, will be released quickly.

Speculation about a third Mecha shooter game rapidly began after the second installment was released, and fans assumed it would come out within a few years. Nevertheless, here we are six years later and all of the supposed confirmations have ultimately amounted to nothing.

So far, there is no set date for the launch of Titanfall 3; Respawn has yet to make an official announcement about it. A slew of rumors and leaks have surfaced, but they all appear to be unfounded. If the game is still in the pre-production stage (which it’s not), then we may not get our hands on it until at least 2025.
