The last game in the series, Skate 3, was launched in 2010. This is the question that every Skate fan is asking. Well, neither EA nor Full Circle has made a statement on Skate 4&#8217;s release date. EA announced the game in June 2020, in its pre-development stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EA tweeted the above video in 2020, announcing that Skate is back and that the development for the new Skate game is active. The developers are taking inputs from the community through an active playtest, which means the development is community-driven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game&#8217;s development process is expected to last another year and the game is expected to be rolled out in the market in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July 2022, the developers announced that, unlike its predecessors, Skate 4 would be a free-to-play game and stated that the new Skate game would not be connected to the previous games in any manner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the reason why the new Skate game is officially called &#8216;Skate.&#8217; and not &#8216;Skate 4.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"skate-4-trailer\"><strong>Skate 4 Trailer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Still Working On It | skate.\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Y2XddTE08rI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of writing, there are a total of four videos on the Skate Official YouTube channel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two of them are &#8220;working on it&#8221; trailers, one is their &#8220;the board room&#8221; talk, and one is on the August playtest highlights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no official trailer for the game as of now, and all we have is what has been uploaded on Skate&#8217;s YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game is being developed using new physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"skate-4-gameplay\"><strong>Skate 4 Gameplay<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the game is still in its early development stage, only playtest gameplay videos are available. The game&#8217;s previous entries were released only on gaming consoles, but the new Skate title will also be available to play on PC. It has been confirmed on the Skate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FAQ page that the game will be available on <strong>Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC<\/strong>. The FAQ page also states that the devs are currently exploring Mobile phones as a possible platform, so it might also get released on mobile phones at some point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also worth mentioning that the game will support cross-platform play, meaning players playing on any supporting device will be able to connect with players playing on all other supported platforms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game will also support cross-progression, meaning if you switch from one platform to the other, you will be able to continue your progress on that platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"skate-4-leaks-and-rumors\"><strong>Skate 4 Leaks and Rumors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>About two months ago a leak from the account of <strong>u\/Parzalai<\/strong> on Reddit surfaced in which the leaker revealed the latest Skate 4 playtest build.
