Paladins Overview

Paladins is a free-to-play online hero shooter video game developed by Hi-Rez Studios. The game was released in 2016 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Players can choose from a variety of champions, from a roster of 57 champions, each with a unique set of abilities.

The objective of the game is to either capture objectives or eliminate the enemy team. The game is played in a best-of-three format, with the first team to either capture two objectives or eliminate the enemy team twice being declared the winner.

Paladins – Game Modes

There are four game modes in Paladins

  • Siege: The objective of this mode is to capture or defend three points on the map. The team that captures all three points or has the most points when the timer runs out wins the match.
  • Payload: The objective of this mode is to escort a cart to a delivery point. The team that escorts the cart to the delivery point or has the cart closest to the delivery point when the timer runs out wins the match.
  • Team Deathmatch: The objective of this mode is to eliminate the enemy team. The team that eliminates the enemy team or has the most kills when the timer runs out wins the match.
  • Onslaught: The objective of this mode is to capture or defend two points on the map. The team that captures both points or has the most points when the timer runs out wins the match.

Paladins – Champion Classes

All the 57 Champions in the game are divided into the following four classes –

  • Frontline: The Front Line is responsible for being the tank of the team, holding the line by protecting allies and soaking up damage. They are also responsible for capturing objectives and controlling areas.
  • Damage: Damage heroes are responsible for dealing high amounts of damage to enemies, and are usually relatively weak
  • Support: Support heroes are responsible for healing and buffing allies, and debuffing enemies.
  • Flank: Flank heroes are responsible for dealing high amounts of damage, and are also relatively weak.

Paladins is one of the most popular free-to-play games on Steam, with over 30 million players worldwide.
