Minecraft Neutral Mobs List

Neutral Mobs in Minecraft are docile creatures that only attack players when provoked. These mobs don’t have anything against the player but they might lose their temper and start attacking if players get too close to them or their children, invade their personal space, or hurt them in any manner.

Yes, indeed, they aren’t as submissive or friendly as the passive mobs, and it can also get quite hard to identify and know which mob is neutral. To solve this identity issue, however, we have curated a list of all the Neutral Mobs currently in the game that players can hope to run into in Minecraft.

Make sure to be careful around these creatures and always be on your guard, so without wasting any time, let’s get started with our list down below.

1. Spiders & Cave Spiders

Spiders & Cave Spiders
Spiders & Cave Spiders

Spiders and Cave Spiders both are neutral arthropods that spawn in the overworld and also down in mineshafts.

They aren’t always aggressive to the players; if the light around these mobs is nine or above, they won’t harm players around them. Cave Spiders have a navy blue color and they can inflict a poison effect when attacking players.

2. Bees

Bees
Bees

Bees are neutral mobs that live in beehives, so if you ever come across a beehive during your journey, expect bees to be somewhere nearby as well.

If you provoke them by attacking them or their nest, they’ll attack you in a swarm. A beehive usually generates 3 bees from it.

These little neutral mobs can travel up to 20 blocks away from their beehive so the next time you come across a beehive, remember that bees are going to be somewhere around you, and even if you accidentally aggro them, you’ll have to run 20 blocks away from them at the minimum to escape their stings.

3. Dolphins

Dolphins
Dolphins

Next up are dolphins, and these are my favorite neutral mobs because they can help players find the Treasure maps scattered around the game’s world. To get on the Dolphin’s good books, all players have to do is simply feed it raw cod or salmon, and it will lead you to the nearest shipwreck where you’ll be able to find Treasure maps and other essentials as well.

These creatures don’t hurt the players, but like bees, they’ll attack players in groups when provoked. Dolphins live in non-frozen oceans, and they also can jump from one water body to another.

4. Goats

Goats
Goats

Goats are a source of goat horns and milk and they can be found mostly in mountainous biomes in Minecraft. These mobs can jump high and ram other mobs as well.

These goats spawn individually and more uncommonly after the generation of the Minecraft world, all the goats look almost identical and make screaming sounds as well.

5. Endermen

Endermen
Endermen

Endermen are tall, lanky neutral mobs in Minecraft that are, like all neutral mobs in the game, harmless to the players as long as they do not look the Endermen in the eye for too long. They spawn in all three dimensions of Minecraft (Overworld, Nether, End) and players need to be careful around them.

Endermen teleport away from players during the daytime and they also teleport to avoid water. They can spawn out of nowhere on any solid surface, as long as the surface has at least three empty block spaces available to stand on.

6. Wolves

Wolves
Wolves

Wolves are great neutral mobs in Minecraft that can be tamed as pets and used against hostile mobs, however, they can turn hostile toward the players if they are attacked when they’re still untamed.

When aggroed, whether intentionally or accidentally, their eyes become red when they turn hostile and are capable of doing a serious amount of damage, more so in hard mode.

7. Llamas

Llamas
Llamas

Llamas can be tamed and used to ship large items across long distances very easily, and a special variant of Llama known as trader llama follows wandering traders.

In the Minecraft Bedrock Edition, trader llama always spawns with the wandering traders at level 7 or above on grass blocks, so if you’re on the lookout for one, that is probably where you’ll run into one.

10% of llamas that spawn in the game’s world spawn as baby llamas, so it is no secret that players will be fortunate enough to see quite a lot of baby llamas in their Minecraft world that they can cuddle and tame.

8. Iron Golems

Iron Golems
Iron Golems

Iron Golems are great neutral mobs that can prove to be an important asset for players, especially when it comes to protecting and defending their bases from frequent enemy attacks, as they are strong and capable enough to fend off any hostile mobs. T

These Iron Golems are the only neutral mobs on our list today that can be built from scratch by the players themselves but it is also worth pointing out that they can become aggro and be lethal toward the players if they are attacked, so if you want to enjoy all the other aspects of the game while still being in one piece, then make sure that you do not attack them when they’re around you.

The villagers in Java Edition can summon Iron Golems and players can find them in pillager outposts and inside villages as well.

9. Pandas

Pandas
Pandas

Pandas are cute neutral mobs that players can find in bamboo jungles in Minecraft. They usually generate one of seven personality traits which are: normal, worried, lazy, playful, aggressive, brown, or weak.

Every single panda in-game will attack you if you provoke them however, an aggressive panda will not panic when you provoke it.

10. Polar Bears

Polar Bear
Polar Bear

Just like in real life, Polar Bears in Minecraft spawn in icy biomes and sometimes in groups of two. If you come across a group of Polar Bears then the second one will most probably be a cub.

These creatures will automatically become hostile towards players when they’re along with a cub otherwise they won’t hurt players in any manner unless provoked.

11. Piglins & Zombified Piglins

Piglin and Zombified Piglin
Piglin and Zombified Piglin

The final neutral mobs on our list are Piglins & Zombified Piglins. These mobs spawn exclusively in the Nether biome. Zombified Piglins are simply a variant of the regular Piglins.

Piglins are inherently hostile toward the players unless the players have at least one piece of Golden armor of them. Zombified Piglins, on the other hand, act similarly and will become hostile if players attack them first.
