Neutral Mobs in Minecraft are good creatures that only attack players when provoked. These mobs don’t really have anything against the player; however, they might lose their temper if you get too close to them or their children, look them in the eye, or hurt them in any manner.
Yes, it is true that they aren’t really as friendly as the passive mobs, and it can also get quite hard to speculate which mob is neutral. That is why we have curated a list of all the Neutral Mobs in Minecraft so you won’t have any issues recognizing a neutral mob.
Make sure to be careful around these creatures and always be on your guard, so without wasting any moment let’s get started with our list down below.
Minecraft Neutral Mobs
1. Spiders & Cave Spiders
Spiders and Cave Spiders both are neutral arthropods that spawn in the overworld and also down in mineshafts.
They aren’t always aggressive to the players; if the light around these mobs is nine or above, they won’t harm players around them. Cave Spiders have a navy blue color and they can inflict a poison effect when players attack them.
2. Bees
Bees are neutral mobs that live in beehives and if you come across a beehive, that will indicate that bees have spawned near you.
If you provoke them by attacking or trying to attack their nest, they’ll attack you in a swarm and a naturally generated bee nest usually generates 3 bees in it.
These little neutral mobs can travel up to 20 blocks away from their beehive so the next time you come across a beehive, remember that bees are going to be somewhere around you.
3. Dolphins
Next up are dolphins, and these are my favorite neutral mobs because they can help players find the Treasure maps. Simply feed raw cod or salmon to a dolphin, and it will lead you to the nearest shipwreck where you’ll be able to find Treasure maps and other essentials as well.
These creatures don’t really hurt the players, but like bees, they’ll attack players in groups when provoked. Dolphins live in non-frozen oceans, and they’re also able to jump from one water body to another.
4. Goats
Goats are a source of goat horns and milk and they can be found mostly in mountainous biomes in Minecraft. These mobs can jump high and RAM other mobs as well.
These goats spawn individually and more uncommonly after the generation of the Minecraft world, all the goats look almost identical and make screaming sounds as well.
5. Endermen
Endermen are quite dangerous neutral mobs as they’ll attack you if you look them in the eye for too long. They spawn in all three dimensions of Minecraft (Overworld, Nether, End) and players need to be careful around them.
Endermen teleport away from players during the daytime and they also teleport to avoid water. It can spawn on any solid surface which has at least three empty spaces above.
6. Wolves
Wolves are great neutral mobs that can be tamed and used against hostile mobs as well however, they can turn hostile towards players if attacked when they’re not tamed.
Their eyes become red when they turn hostile and can do a serious amount of damage in hard mode. Make sure to be careful around Wolves if they’re not tamed.
7. Llamas
Llamas can be tamed and used to ship large items easily and a special variant of Llama known as trader llama follows wandering traders.
In the Minecraft Bedrock Edition trader llama always spawns with the wandering traders at a light level 7 or above on grass blocks. 10% of llamas spawn as baby llamas, so you will see baby llamas in your Minecraft world.
8. Iron Golems
Iron Golems are great neutral mobs that can prove to be an asset for you as they can fend off any hostile mobs. These are the only neutral mobs in our list today that can be built however, they can become lethal if attacked so make sure not to attack them when they’re around you.
The villagers in Java Edition can summon Iron Golems and players can find them in pillager outposts and in villages as well.
9. Pandas
Pandas are cute neutral mobs that players can find in bamboo jungles in Minecraft. They usually generate one of seven personality traits which are: normal, worried, lazy, playful, aggressive, brown, or weak.
Every single panda in-game will attack you if you provoke them however, an aggressive panda will not panic when you provoke it.
10. Polar Bears
Just like in real life Polar Bears in Minecraft spawn in icy biomes and sometimes in groups of two. If you come across a group of Polar Bears then the second one will be a cub.
These creatures will automatically become hostile towards players when they’re along with a cub otherwise they won’t really hurt players in any manner unless provoked.
11. Piglins & Zombified Piglins
The final neutral mobs on our list are Piglins & Zombified Piglins and these mobs spawn exclusively in the Nether. Zombified Piglins are simply a variant of the regular Piglins.
Piglins will become hostile unless you’re wearing a piece of golden armor and Zombified Piglins act similarly and will become hostile if you attack them.
